After I reboot my 2003 email server I cannot ping our other server. however the other server can ping it, only by enabling the second nic and configuring it with the old ip address and disabling the other nic does it start to work again.
I have tried a hub and a 1gb switch all with the same issue
I am trying to connect a Windows2K machine running outlook 200 to an Exchange 2003 server.
However if I try to configure the client to point at the server I just get a response that the server could not be found.
I can ping the server by it's name from the client.

Is this a known issue with 2003 DNS? I also have similar problems. If I connect a workstation directly to our ISP DNS servers response is quite rapid but going via the servers DNS connection is slowed say about 5 to 10 sec before a web page is shown.
