    Thanks - your problem sounds exactly the same as mine! However ...... I think I've sorted it out - you're right, it's a Netscape thing - N4.0/5/7 (the ones that I've tested) don't seem to like *external* cascading style sheets - as soon as I embed the style sheet in the page the problem...

    I've put a copy of the pages here: http://www.stbrn.ac.uk/test/exit.htm although the original is an intranet page and so no outside access. The trouble usually (but not always) happens when you click on the broken image which says Enter the Learning Web which takes you to a frameset...
