Different steps for different situations now 1: When I try to format using NTFS (quick or regular), it tells me that it is not able to install XP on that partition and I will have to use another one. 2: If I use the same partition for FAT32 it will go through the process of copying files...- MurderMind

HD won't recognize NTFS
I am trying to install XP Pro on my Western Digital 40GB harddrive. For some reason, it will install it with a FAT partition only. If I try with NTFS, it gives me a system error and tells me I have to try another partition. I have tried it with two other hard drives and I am not sure why it...- MurderMind
