Hi, I'm using illustrator 10 on PC and for some bizarre reason my layers window will not open. I've tried opening it with the mouse and with F7 but it neither gets 'checked' in the menu nor appears anywhere on the screen. It worked the last time I tried. Whats's going on???? How do I fix this...

That's great! I'm a first time user, could you tell me the significance of making them a comound path for the above? You may have to explain the nature of compound paths. I know they create holes whenever shapes overrlap (hence I ask why apply it to the above). many thanks for you help. Jugz

I have 2 seperate full circles. How do I create a straight line directly from an anchor point on one to an anchor point on the other, or can 2 paths never join like that? Thanks.

Me again...My selection tool (black arrow) used to free transform my images, but doesn't anymore. Not sure what I've pressed. I have to go down to the free transform tool, it's really annoying. How do I make it free transform again?????? Many Thanks.
