That is what I thought, but it is still requiring users to log in even though Windows integrated Authentication is checked. I'm using my own login to test this on a test server, and I have admin priviladges, so it shouldn't be a rights issue.
Currently we have basic authentication working, so each user that visits our intranet must sign in with their domain account to access it. I would like it to bypass this signon if they are signed into their workstation with their domain account. I know this is possible, but unsure how to do...
I don't think you will experience any problems doing this. This will also be quite easy to implement with a login script. All you have to do is export both of those keys using regedit (not regedt32) and then combine the files into one registry file (ie, import.reg). Then create a login script...
This is usually a name resolution problem. Even if you can still ping it, wins is usually the problem. The nbtstat will help you troubleshoot it. If you have a valid wins server on the network, and the server you are trying to connect to is pointed to that server, then a nbtstat -RR might fix...
I am in a single domain and I am trying to turn on Trust Computer for Delegation to get the Integrated Windows Authentication working for one of my IIS boxes.
Are you saying my domain name is can't be resolved? I can ping my domain name fine. However, I can't ping the netbios name for our domain. Is that what you are referring to?
Whats the point of doing this? If it can't use a drive letter, then you have to specify the unc path to access resources on the other server anyway. Mapping is not necessary when using UNC paths, unless the application requires a drive letter mapping.
I am trying to turn this on for one of my servers with IIS installed. I am getting a message "Your security settings do not allow you to specify whether or not this account is to be trusted for delegation" when i try to apply the setting. I am in domain admin group, and enterprise...
That is the name of the directory that the test directory was created and deleted. There are no 564 events, and I'm auditing creat folders/append data, and delete subfolders and files.... both successfull and failed.
Is there any guide out there that will help you understand the events this generates? I created and deleted a folder in a directory that I want to monitor and this is what I got:
Event Type: Success Audit
Event Source: Security
Event Category: Object Access
Event ID: 560
Date: 10/11/2002...
You cannot have the switch in Auto and the nics set to 100/full. This will cause you many problems. Either set the switch to 100/full and nics to 100/full, or both Auto.
Trust me, I have isolated many problems to mismatched settings on speed and duplex.
I am having a very strange problem. I have a mail server with about 9 different email domains on it, each has its own IP address. This server sits in the DMZ, with a PIX515 firewall in between it and our network.
On occasion, sometimes a couple of times a day, I lose connectivity to ONE...
I have had basically the same problem on my network, except I have 8 2924XL switches, and when we run Ghost, 3 ports on my server room switch start blinking orange and the network slows to a crawl. The ghost server is on a switch downstairs, the server room switch is upstairs. I had to take...
We recently rebuilt our web server with Windows 2000. I setup IIS and recreated the web sites and pointed them to there respective directories. One site has asp pages for just about every link. Almost 100% of the time, I get a page not found when clicking a link or even going to the main...
Actually, DHCP is on the BDC, and WINS is running on the PDC. I hardly ever see anything in event viewer besides the "domain controller not found" message.
Do you think I should move those services to seperate servers?
I have 1 PDC and 1 BDC in our main office, and 2 remote BDC's in the field. We have a couple of servers that have to have an account logged on at all times. It seems when I down my BDC the account on those two servers becomes invalid and if I try to relog on it says domain controller not...
All of my switch settings are set properly:
!
interface FastEthernet0/7
description NT_BACKUP
duplex full
speed 100
port group 1
!
interface FastEthernet0/8
description NT_BACKUP
duplex full
speed 100
port group 1
There is no 10MBit Ethernet card in my server. No errors on the switch...
I recently setup MRTG for all of my routers and 2 of my servers. The information I am receiving on my routers seems accurate, but the information coming from my servers is somewhat confusing.
I setup MRTG to monitor the server's port on a Cisco 2924XL switch. After doing so, i noticed the...
