    Thanks for the suggestion. The /var/spool/mqueue folder is on a different spindle from the one used to read email so I am not sure that it even comes into play as an issue. Also, we do not use this server to send out email, clients on the network send out their email through a different server...

    In IMAP you need to "Expunge" or "Purge" deleted messages. IMAP does this as a precaution to say in a sense "are you absolutely sure you want to delete this message". There should be a Purge or an Expunge button in Outlook somewhere

I have another RAID 1 set on the server and I would like to move some users inboxes from /var/spool/mail to this new drive to split up the i/o but I can't seem to figure it out.
