I had some success with some registry work... I went to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\software\Corel\WordPerfect\10\Location of Files\EN and changed the entry for "Template Folder"- kingstondiane

WP 11 "cannot initialize templates..."
I have just had the same problem with "cannot initialize templates" error message. I deleted the location of files key but need more information about the profile. Are you talking about the Corel folder in Application Data for the user. I have also tried uninstalling and reinstalling WP10 but...- kingstondiane
