Terrific.....that sounds almost too easy.

Quark supplies default colors which can be added to on an individual project. I have a couple of colors that I constantly use in nearly every layout. Is there a way to add these colors as permanent default colors so I don't have to regenerate them each time I start a new project?

There is no doubt that they are inch marks. I just did a new Quark document and typed in the quote key and got inch marks. If I hold down CTRL I get quote marks. So it is set up the way I want it. I want it to always be inch marks because they are correct for numerical measurements but also work...

I have Quark 6.01 and would like to see my typefaces displayed in their actual true form in the pulldown font menu. Years ago when I had Quark 3.0 I had an Xtension that would do this but haven't been able to find one again. Does such an animal exist?

Thanks for the input guys. I just went ahead and bought the Adobe CS suite which gets me the latest version of InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator. So now I can open anything. Until they come out with something new..... *lol*

A very neat little program for creating PDF's from Quark 5 files is called Print to PDF. I believe it is a shareware program that you can get for $10 as I recall. Do a google for: Print to PDF or try: printtopdf
