SP2 Has a built in popup blocker that can cause this problem. Goto IE and click on tools>popup blocker and then turn it off or adjust the settings. This sounds like your problem

It sounds like just a bad drive or connecting to it. Save yourself some stress... A new drive is about $9 in a cheap computer store. I Would try that before spending all the time backingup and reinstalling. I have seen this many times and most times its just a connection or bad floppy drive...
I would also try seeing if maybe the Harddrive is having problems. You say this is happening in multiple OS so its doughtful to be a virus. See if you can locate a hard drive stress test utility. Hope that helps.

NTLDR is used in Win 2000 Pro and Win XP. Possibly NT but I'm not sure. You should do a full format of the drive and reload whichever OS you need. Dont do a low level format or you will still have the same problem.

I agree, Manufacters like to do things ass backwards. I would just wipe the whole things clean and install XP over it. If you have seperate CD's for the drivers then you shouldnt have problems anyway. IF you do then you can just download the drivers from their support site. I believe their FAT32...
