    Optimum page size?

    Hi, I'm doing my first web site. What is the optimum size for a web page (ie. size accross the top in pixels)? 640, 800, 1024, 1280? My guess is to design for 800, but not to put any critical info past 640. Thanks YaYa

    Optimum load time per page?

    The trade off: more beautiful graphics, or faster loading page? I'm doing my first web page. Is there a target k size or "time to load" per page? I noticed that dreamweaver will give you the size and time to load for each page as per connection speed. What should I shoot for? Thanks...
