try selecting it all and breaking it apart ctrl a ctrl b hope this helps

Create a box shape(black or dark grey) almost the same size as the object. Modify > Shape > Soften Fill Edges.... distance: 10 number of steps: 10 direction: expand This creats a drop shadow effect. hope this helps marty
