Well, if you need help, I've gotten this setup to work with OWA, OMA, etc. ... everything except for RPC over HTTP(S). That's what I am currently trying to figure out.
Is anyone else using Apache as a reverse proxy server (instead of Microsoft ISA Server) to protect your Microsoft Exchange 2003 SP1 Back-End and Front-End Server topology?
Does anyone know if Microsoft's RPC over HTTP Proxy connections is supported under Apache?
I have Apache set up as a reverse proxy server (instead of a Microsoft ISA Server) in front of my Microsoft Exchange Server Front-end and Back-end topology. Everything works great except I cannot get RPC...
I am trying to deploy RPC over HTTP for Exchange Server 2003 SP1 (FE/BE configuration). I am using the following documents:

The following has a lot of good resources:

I'm using sysprep'ed images instead of RIS. That's something I want to look at down the road when the company is bigger. After Symantec purchased PowerQuest, it seems like Ghost is...
Yes, they get logged. Check the View installation history under Other Options when you start Windows Update in Internet Explorer. It gets this info from:
C:\Program Files\WindowsUpdate\V4\IUHIST.XML
See the following too:

Why even allow this? Can't your users just browse from their desktops instead? Personally, I would disable IE on the Terminal Server by using Application Security:

... and install Mozilla on their deskotps instead.
Our building lease is about to expire later this year. We are looking at moving from one location to another (same city). Does anyone have a ball-park figure for moving a Definity G3si V9 PBX (a total of three cabinets) and re-punching all 110-blocks? Also, are there any recommended vendors...
Thanks everyone for your input. I ended up switching with another circuit pack. Both look good still. So, I'm assuming it was on the far end (CO) that was causing the error. Reseating the cicuit pack could have fixed the problem too. However, I wanted to make sure it wasn't bad by making...
When doing a 'status trunk' on our G3si V9 Definity PBX ISDN PRI trunk, I can see three ports getting a 'out-of-service-FE' error. Is this a circuit pack issue or is it with the carrier? All the other ports are working fine. Does the TN464F circuit pack need to be replaced? If so, are...
Mia03, the From address will default to whatever their primary SMTP address is set to. Under the E-mail Addresses tab in Active Directory Users and Computers, you can see what the default address is.
The better way is to use ISA Server.
However, a more elegant solution is to use open source software instead of ISA Server. If you are familiar with Apache and a UNIX OS (i.e. Linux, *BSD, Solaris, etc.), then the setup is straight forward. You can set up an Apache server to act as a reverse...
Check the security event viewer logs. They should tell you if it is a incorrect domain or password login. Also, it will tell you if the user is trying to authenticate with kerberos.
