I have a Dell VRTX blade server with 4 blades and a full array of internal drives, this runs Hyper-V clustering. We now need more capacity so are looking at the Dell MD1200 external drive chassis.
We would have two internal SCSI cards in the VRTX linked to the chassis and all drives would be...
This is replacing a simple ADSL modem/router, its only for guests/visitors and Staff's mobiles/iPad's. Security is not a concern for me with this. Just a simple router to provide a private IP range and DHCP.
Thanks for your response, I was thinking router because I do not have enough public IP's to give out for all clients. I would need to have a separate non-public IP range for the clients with a DHCP server. Then NAT them out through one Public IP address.
Is this not the correct way to do it...
We have a 100MBps internet leased line at work, this plugs into our corporate firewall.
Our existing guest Wi-Fi solution uses a slow 3.5Mbps ADSL circuit and keeps falling over due to the amount of users.
What I am looking for is a simple Cisco router that I can connect to the 100MBps internet...
Its interesting, because there are loads of software suites coming up in Google when I search for hardware testing and also bench marking.
Finding reviews for any of them has proved difficult tho....
Hi Guys
I got a couple of PC's at work (Dell) with random problems, what software can anyone recommend for complete hardware testing and diagnosing problems?
Seeing as we have 70+ PC's here (Mainly laptops) I don't mind purchasing something if its going to be reliable and helping to find...
Hi Guys
We have a IP Office 403 ver 3.2(61) and only 4606 handsets.
I recently got a new 4606 handset out of the box and plugged it into our POE switch, it went through the discovery process, got DHCP and then froze on downloading 46xxsettings.txt
Tried it a couple of times and had the same...
I did delete the existing image file and subdirectories, to the point it showed 15,996,416 bytes free in the flash, but te 15,851,520 image wouldn't install as per message above :(
I have a Cisco Catalyst 3750G-24-TS switch which is a cluster master.
Recently installed new IOS (Version: c3750-ipservicesk9-tar.122-35.SE2.tar)
I would like to install the latest IOS available that will fit into the 16mb Flash on this device.
In Windows it shows...
Can anyone give me a clue as to what this message means?
"Controller Port error. Interface .... Imax Error Detected"
Its on a 3750 POE switch so I presume its related to an Avaya phone on one of the ports.
Googling doesn't throw up many results :(
I did not appreciate there were different versions to download :o
Certainly there was not two versions listed on the download page.
Are you able to point me in the direction of the correct file and then explain how to install the image?
Thanks for your assistance
Hi
I have 4 Cisco Catalyst 3750 series switches:-
3750-24PS
3750-48PS
3650G-24TS x 2
They are all linked together at the back as a stack with one as the master.
I have been having a few POE port problems so though it would make sense to upgrade the IOS to the latest to see if it resolved any...
I currently have a single Citrix Presentation server v4.5 running on Windows 2003 (Approx 5 yr old server) and previously ran older versions of Presentation server and I just ran upgrades as they became available. (MSDE Database)
This server is almost the last one on our old Domain and I need...
I have convinced my management to purchase a new server, so I wil set this up on the new Domain and re-install all the applications on it.
Full redundancy during the migration and a lot less stress!!
Thanks all for you help and advice.
I was thinking of any issues with security on the MSDE database etc.....
At the moment users are getting away with secutity permissions cross domain because of a trust between the domains and SID history in there new user accounts. But oviously this will go when it is moved!
I am running one Citrix Presentation Server Advanced with a local MSDE database.
Due to an infrastruture change I need to rename the server and move it to a new Domain. What is the easiest way to do this and any advice?
Thanks in advance for your assistance.
I have found the PC I am testing with to be almost back to normal now, last thing done was SP3 for XP.
I hope to have the main problem PC back in the office next week to have a look at, I will post further comments once I have more info.
Thanks to all for assistance offered so far!
Further update:
I have used a utility from Belkasoft to examine all plugins for Windows Explorer(WE), I have run a report of these from the original users profile and the new user on that PC and both are identical so I don't believe it's a plugin in WE causing this.
Update:
I have tried loging into the laptop off the network and the local c: drive is still slow to browse.
Windows XP SP3 has been installed and made no difference.
