access mdb with link to sql server tables, views compact problem
have you tried pushing it off to an MDE during this dev phase. Its semi compiled and doesnt change much in size while youre developing. Youll have to push it around the building after each build, but i assume youre doing that already. It will reduce in size once all the MDB tables have moved...- palmermon

Lesson to us all, dont use the Upsizing wizard, the compatibility alone is a minefield. Use DTS instead, upon a set of tables that youve made yourself by hand, cos you can do so much more with sql server. Palmermon - Always Thinking- palmermon

Handling External Files
Marc, ive done a fair amount of file handling with VB and VBA using the FileSystemObject. Youll need to add it into the references of the project. Its called something weird like Windows File Handling or something. It was standard after win 2000. Its also groovy what you can do with the "dir"...- palmermon

Access 2003 forms jumpy
Have you got any timer events on the form, this causes flashing.... Similarly, check the code for any mouseover code. I cant say ive noticed this... Palmermon - Always Thinking- palmermon
