Anyone ever see the error no space on dev fd when trying to make an emergency boot floppy? I am making a system specific boot disk for a Dell Poweredge 1800. We have removed all devices from the system thinking that was the cause and that did not fix it. Any ideas would be great help.
I know that the file is /etc/default/boot however, I do not see in that file what I entered as the string. The DEFBOOTSTR line says hd(40) unix swap=hd(141) root=hd(42). The only other thing I see that might have to do with it is BOOTMNT=RO which I do not know what that means. There is nothing...
When building a system, I entered an incorrect boot string and now the CD-ROM drive doesn't work. Is there any way to undo this or do I have to start over?
