Tapes are brand new 200GB LTO tapes, only 2 slots are cleaning slots (which contain cleaning media), I have dumped and reloaded the datatbase (as per Vertias tech support), reloaded backup exec, flashed the hardware of the library, loaded the latest drivers for everything I can find, SCSI ID's...

Whenever I runan inventory on my SureStore 6/60 library, all media is reporting as cleaning media. I ahve enable the bar code rules etc as per Veritas and still this is happening, does anyone have any ideas or has seen this before?

All services must use the BackupExecService account. Ensure that this account has FULL admin rights. If you have used your own durng the set up and recently changed your password, this can cause a problem. Run the logon account wizard and set up the service account for every server running...

Choose options on the tools menu, then on the media overwrite tab, remove the 2 ticks next to "prompt before overwriting etc etc. That should do it!
