Carl; Your're right... that's easy. However, it doesn't lead me to an understanding of how to cure my problem. Hey Carl; Thank you for you reply, but I don't KNOW the answer to your queston "Do you have custom blocks for arrowheads/tics as defined by the DIMBLK variable?" Hi; I read with interest the discussion between TCARPENTER and Alfred, about Al's "disappearing" ticks. I have the same problem he had (has?)! Mine don't disappear, they ALWAYS go to the "FRAMING" layer. I'm working on, say, HVAC. I add a dimension or leader and just the tick or arrowhead...- SCom9
