Daylight saving changes push time 1 hour forward

I forgot to mention that all servers (but the ISA server) in our environment are VWWare virtual servers. The physical servers are hp proliant blades with ESX 3.0.2 installed on them Could this have something to do with it? (i've already checked the time on the esx and it points to the same VM DC)

Daylight saving changes push time 1 hour forward

I tried now a third one: ntp2c.mcc.ac.uk, same result, if I select the daylight... option then I can sync the time (via w32tm /resync) no problem, but a minute later the hour will go forward.

Time zone is GMT (London) I've already tried changing to a different zone and reverting again to this one with no luck.

Daylight saving changes push time 1 hour forward

This is a win2003 domain. Main DC (running PDC master) has an external clock to sync from and all other systems sync from this DC. This starting to happen a month ago and still can't figure out where the problem is. If we use the Daylight.. option on the DC the time goes 1 hour forward (even if...

    Phone lines cut out randomly

I was going to close the thread, no problems with the phone since last wednesday evening when I re-sync the system together with the BT's system. Now, on Saturday there was a power cut (again) and although some servers are not working, the phone switch seem to be OK but today (10.42am) teh line...

    Phone lines cut out randomly

No, I didn't reseat the card. The plan is, if yesterday's reset doesn't work, I'll wait to the end of day (17:30) and do the card reseat and then the reset steps I did yesterday.

    Phone lines cut out randomly

Last night after work, I reset the system in conjuction with the BT guy at the other end of the phone. So today we'll be waiting to see how the system behaves. Regarding the lights on the NTE box, only the power light is on while the system is working and when the line drops I've seen the...

    Phone lines cut out randomly

Well, I think BT may be right. When the line drops, I can unplug/plug back the line from our switch and the phones work again. I think that probes the problem is internal? Am I right?

    Phone lines cut out randomly

I've called the support number I was given, just to see what would be involved in getting our system back in sync with theirs. It seems the best option is to reset both systems at the same time so I'll be calling them after hours (from my mobile) and reset our system and theirs together and...

    Phone lines cut out randomly

I'll have to try to take the card out and back out of hours, or when the next fault happens. We do send/receive faxes, no problem.

    Phone lines cut out randomly

(Thanks a lot for your replies, they are really valuable.) They asked for a phone engineer to be at our site (they wouldn't send a bt one, they say our system is our problem) and for this engineer to call bt, certain number he gave me, so it seems, with the info bt will give to the engineer at...

    Phone lines cut out randomly

So the settings are right, but is not working. What should I be looking at? maybe a faulty card? or something faulty inside the switch?

    Phone lines cut out randomly

I have : Clock quality = Network Does that mean that it'll sync with the networks domain controller? (or whatever has been setup for the network)

    Phone lines cut out randomly

Right, Anybody knows how to sync the switch with BT? It seems since a power cut some weeks ago the switch and BT's network are not in sync thus everytime we reboot the switch it kind of runs on its own time and after a while the difference with BT's time is to wide and the lines get cut off...

    Phone lines cut out randomly

Today, I've sent BT the list of phone numbers at the time they drop with the times they happen (2 days collecting). Same day they've put an engineer on the exchange and found a fault, it seems our system and theirs are out of sync. I'm quite impressed at the speed at which action is been...

    Phone lines cut out randomly

The monitor application (SysMonitor) doesn't connect to the switch, keeps saying "trying to connect to 192.168..." For some reason I've not been able to connect all morning with the Monitor but IP Office logs me in as administrator no problem. Will this need a switch reboot to fix it? (not...
