I'll be removing WinFax from my user's machine tonight. Just got a call that this is happening on 2 other users too. I don't think one of them has WinFax
Ok, here's some more info from my user. She has a PC running in 2 different offices as well as her laptop. Outlook was hanging on closing using 2000 version. The only solution any one had was to upgrade to outlook xp.
I did this on the Office A PC and it all worked fine. Since MS stated...
Doesn anyone know if other than wiping the machine and starting from scratch will work? I know uninstalling and re-installing doesn't because it leaves stuff in the registry.
Yeah, I tried disabling the antivirus as well and still hung on exit.
Basically what we're seeing here is there is an issue with Outlook 2003's calendar syncing with Exchange 2000 server. Not sure what the fix is other than upgrading to 2003 server but that's not going to happen in my company...
In our case we're not using IMAP but actually connecting to Exchange.
So am I to gather that your having a similar issue without connecting to an Exchange server?
After some research we found that it might be an issue with the Outlook 2003 Calender syncing with Exchange 2000. We're setting up a test environment to see what we can do.
Unfortunately reloading the OS isn't an option as this is the VP's laptop.
She doesn't have any games loaded. Basically your HP sharing software, Office 2003, etc. Also a Sierra Wireless CDMA card.
No add on's for email and have cleaned all spyware off using SpyBot search and destroy.
has anyone come with a solution on this one. I have the same issue and it actually affects the syncronization as well. I've got a VP that heated about this. Any help would be much apreciated.
I've uninstalled Office2003 and re-installed twice.
