Ok...bcastner, I know very little about stacks, pipes and the like so... I assume FIFO, first in/ first out, refers to the order in which,in this case, MRU's are stacked. But I don't quite understand how it can or, has aged past the reference to A: drive. Does that mean the problem is gone or...- nosugartonite

I think the balloon tips only appear in IE if "active desktop" is enabled. I don't know if that can be turned off or not...- nosugartonite

Floppy drive activates when opening files
No. I have not had a floppy in the drive for a month or more. My MRU's are cleared on every boot-up. The problem hasn't occured for the last three boot-ups so maybe its "fixed". Thanks for your replys...- nosugartonite
