Hello, If CCNA is the only goal - real hardware is not necessary. I have used Boson NetSim and was fine. Going further - yes, You will need it. Simulators do not cover all aspects of IOS. regards, SiGiS- SGrebliunas

CCNP Study - 642-801 - Any Suggestions?
Hello, I have used: Ciso press titles (INTRO and ICND). Guess Sybex are also OK. Boson Network simulator v5.xx(a MUST!, i should say, use it every day till now) Whizlabs CCNA exam simulator (You will get something similar on Sybex CD/DVD + flash cards) and passed.... regards, Sigitas- SGrebliunas

ACLs don't seem to work
Hello ottathom, Everything works as desired. You use standart ACL. It checks SOURCE IP address. No SOURCE with that address on routerA and so nothing happens. If You want do deny traffic from RouterA e0 to routerB e0, i would suggest extended ACL on routerA e0 in (closest to the source) with...- SGrebliunas
