just want to set a variable = contents of a <TABLE> object
For most objects, you can use the innerHTML property. FOr example, if you want to store the contents of an ordered list, you can specify: var OLcontents = [OLid].innerHTML But the innerHTML property doesn't work with <TABLE> objects.
