    Think its sorted now - no recent complaints anyway. UDP packets apparently are blocked after XP SP2. I added outlook.exe to the list of exception programs in the windows firewall, e-mails have been coming and going ok now.

    Thanks for help. I actually unjoined the PC from the domain making it part of a workgroup, when trying to join it back to the domain and it didn't have the effect I wished for I then removed the PC account from the AD. Cheers

    Thanks for your reply Chris. I've been up and down to this PC a few times over the course of the day changing it from a static IP address (as it requires access in and out of the firewall) to dhcp so plenty of time for it to pick up broadcasts. Still not playing :( thanks though.
