Re your bell: I too am still using 5.5 & works fine for me. Am glad to hear 5.5 works at all on XP as I have a machine with Windows 2000 where I can't get 5.5 to function. Visual dBase 5.5/5.7 access violation Windows 2000
Hi there! I've been running Vdb 5.5 happily for 3 years in Windows 95 and 98. Installed 5.5 on Windows 2000 OS and can't open. Upgraded to 5.7 and same problem. The message is: "DBASEWIN caused an access violation in ntdll.dll at <address>." (ver 5.5 and 5.7 give slightly different...- Aaarrg
