Hi, I'm trying to create a single report (please see attached mock-up), which takes data about our students, issued penalties and issued detentions, and displays them, grouped by Form, then Student and showing a list of penalties and then a list of detentions. I've zipped up a mock-up, the SQL...
We use ISA 2006 and have an FTP rule to allow our accounts software to connect to updates, which works fine when the ISA proxy server settings are configured in the application and Internet Explorer. However the Microsoft Firewall Client is install the FTP connection fails. If I check the ISA...
I'm very new to visual basic 2008 and could do with a helping hand. I've created a small windows form app with a Combobox (dropdownlist) where users can select a pre-entered productgroup. There is a TextBox where they can enter a quantity, a Label for results and finally a generate Button.

markros,
Thanks for your query. I'm using SQL 2005 and have tried your query, but it's returning "Msg 156, Level 15, State 1, Line 26. Incorrect syntax near the keyword 'In'".
Many thanks.
I just notice the stupid cause of the problem, the check box under permission "apply these permissions to objects and/or containers within this container only" was ticked.
I have the following query which brings back special prices set for customers, however there are sometimes multiple special prices on the same product for the same customer. What I'd like to do is change the query so that it only returns the row with the latest expiry date (spr.validto), but I...
We have a folder called TEST which has the correct permissions set for it and does not inherit it's permissions from it's parent. Let say we have Administrator and security_group_A with Full Control set for "this folder, subfolder and files". There is a subfolder called SUB1 set to inherit...
Thanks hmckillop. I ended up using the following statement which did the trick:
SELECT B1.Name AS Branch,
(DATEPART(hour, OH.DateTimeCreated)) as [Hour Created],
(DATEPART(day, OH.DateTimeCreated)) as [Day Created],
(DATENAME(month, OH.DateTimeCreated)) as [Month Created],
(DATEPART(year...
Thanks for the reply. I get the following error:
Msg 8120, Level 16, State 1, Line 1
Column 'Branch.Name' is invalid in the select list because it is not contained in either an aggregate function or the GROUP BY clause.
Thanks.
I have the following statement, which returns what I need:
SELECT B1.Name AS Branch,
(DATENAME(dw, OH.DateTimeCreated)) as [Day Created],
(DATEPART(hour, OH.DateTimeCreated)) as [Hour Created],
OPT.Name AS HowPlaced,
NVL1.Name AS SaleType,
(OH.TotalSellPrice - OH.TotalCostPrice) AS...
Thanks for that. I was leaning towards blaming Groupshield 6.0 and from reading this post and called McAfee, it is caused by a corruption in Groupshiled 6.0. There is no way of reversing this so I'm restoring the database from a backup and upgrading to Groupshield 6.0.2
This is a new one for me. A late worker last night noticed the the body of old emails was missing. Upon getting in this morning it seems that for all twelve of the our exchange mailboxes, the actual body of all existing emails in all folders (including sent and deleted) disappeared. Any...
Bloody weird problem, but I've got it sorted. I connected a laptop direct to the router and gave it a public IP and bingo I has internet access. Moving the laptop behing the firewall resulted again in only the server being able to access the internet, so that clearly said that the problem was...
Hi and thanks for the suggestion so far.
TechCarnivore: Cheers, but this is a standard edition Windows 2003 server, which doesn't have a Configure Email and Internet Wizard.
bcaster: Thanks, but power cycling the whole system was my first call (sorry I didn't note that in my first post). Also...
