If they are for his enjoyment only, take him off the network and set him up with a dial up or broadband connection to the Internet. From there have him VPN into your network. This way you will have security control and he will have network access.- k111rh

Not able to access the TSM Server
Is TSM running any processes. I had a situation where TSM was trying to do a space reclemation and for some reason hung up the service. I ended the processes and halted the TSM service, then brought it back up. Have there been any network changes in your environment? Can you ping the IP of...- k111rh

Not able to access the TSM Server
It sounds like your TSM server is not started, or your server is not communicating with the outside world. Are you accessing the TSM server locally or from a remote workstation?- k111rh

Bad Tapes
What type of Hardware are you using? I would check into updating the firmeware on your library and tape drives. You may also want to install the latest service level for your version of TSM. K111rh- k111rh
