    I had the same problem with Premiere 6.0 Solution: open the corrupt project file in a texteditor and compare it with a non-corrupt project file. In my case dots were replaced by comma's in the corrupt file. Settings at the end of the file like: currentPan=0,500000 nextPan=0,500000...
