How to set an rcp timeout?
Thanks, that's what we ended up doing. rsh to proc and then rcp file back. rsh seems to time out after a few minutes and that way it doesn't leave a hung rcp on the host. -

I ran into an instance where the processor was using too much CPU, so it was up and returned a ping check, but the rcp wouldn't go through. -
How to set an rcp timeout?
I'm using AIX 4.3 and it seems that when we have a processor hang and then try to rcp a file to that processor, the rcp never times out. Is there a way to make this occur after a set amount of time?
