Getting started on MYSQL (Very Newbie)
Thanks i think i downloaded the wrong file as i got a previous version (4.0.18) and that installed just fine, however i'm struggleing to work out iif it actually works or not. i can get the traffic lights up into my system tray, does that mean it is working? i clicked on the mysqld-nt.exe file...- itsdannyuk

Hi, I downloaded the mysql-4.1.1a-alpha-win.zip (mysql-4.1.1a-alpha) file from a UK mirror site, had no problems downloading it, and unzipped it to C:/MYSQL. Reading the installation notes for windows (at point 6 in the notes)it says to run the setup.exe program to begin, however there is no...- itsdannyuk

MYSQL and ASP
Do MYSQL and ASP mix, as most info seems to point to PHP and MYSQL and info on my question is very limited. I'm a complete newbie with MYSQL (can't even install it????) but a years ASP experience and currently use Access, just to give an indication of where i'm coming from.
