    hi the storage admin gave you additional 50G , which should be detected as hdsik3 once you execute "cfgmgr" . execute these commands to add the 50GB to /data filesystem: #cfgmgr #extendvg -f datavg hdisk3 #chfs –a size=+50G /data

    steps to follow: install hba & driver on the solaris servers connect the hba to your switch create a zone for your solaris host by using wwn of your hba assign your lun to the zone modify sd.conf file with lun data devfsadm or cfgadm to detect new lun OR reboot format the new lun

    reboot the system & if it fails with the vxconfigd error again,that could be blamed on the file "/etc/vx/volboot" which might be missing or corrupt.
