    win 2k wants you to make 4 floppies to boot with. your documentation will give you info about where on the cd to start the makeboot program. it will prompt you for 4 formatted floppies. after making the boot disks, boot from them. ide drivers, in fact all needed drivers for at least safe mode...

    Go into internet options either through your browser or through control panel and go into advanced settings and make sure all your java stuff is checked off...then reboot.

    You didn't say whether or not you were networked to anything else and whether or not you have configured active directory. Roaming profiles have to be enabled in active directory and AD won't be available unless you are networked to at least one other machine.
