Slow deleting files or even links
Mine was a factory (Dell) install on a new PC. (It's actually XP Home... apologies for slipping into the wrong forum, but the behavior seems to be identical.)- nik909

New Clue: It was previously determined that this delete delay only happens to the first file that is deleted since the previous reboot... and all subsequent deletes are normal. It now appears that it only happens to the first file that is sent to the Recyle Bin. In other words, after a...- nik909

Slow deleting files or even links
I observe this problem, as well. About 30 seconds to delete a file... big or small. Also, this ONLY happens to the first attempt to delete that occurs since the last bootup. After waiting the 30 seconds, and deleting a file, all susequent deletes are normal.... until the next bootup. Do you...- nik909
