Catalyst 1900 console not working

Pin outs for console port of older 1900 switches?
The older 1900 switches, ie the WS-C1900, have an older console port that does not use the rollover cable. Most people who try to connect to the console managmenet portion of these switches will recieve modem strings on their terminal like so: ATQ0H0 The solution is to make the following... -
Catalyst 1900 console not working
I have read a few threads here posted by people who have had this same problem. The problem is when you log into the console port you get modem strings, ie ATQ0H0. I have reset the firmware, and even erased and Xmodem'ed in new firmware. I still cannot get it past this modem string problem...
