    funnily enough the port was being held by the arcserve messenger service. stop that service and server for nfs would start. bit of a pain that one.

    on a W2K SP4 server i installed NFSServer (and dependancies) from the command line install. I then cannot start the NFS Server because of the error: the portmap service could not start as it could not register on port UDP 111. please ensure that no other program has registered on port UDP...

    after replcaing the stk controller main board to stop persistent NT SCSI errors [replaced dlt \ scsi cables \ boards \ terminator previously]now getting INOP - FSC #3096 MECH = Z upon reboot. Double checked all connections to board. They seem fine. Hope someone here can advise what this...

    Hi - i am getting a Theta Error - INOP FSC #30B7 - any ideas on exactly what this means. is my robot arm requiring replacement? tapes are stuck in it when i open the door. Occurs when running an inventory on more than one tape - do not know if it will crash backups yet. any help much appreciated
