BackupExec to USB HD was working fine. Began to fail to mount media. For a while I could resolve by checking and unchecking "allocate maximum size..." and restarting services. This fix no longer resolves.
Thanks in advance for your help

We are looking into hosted Exchange for a 25 user company. For various reasons the review has come down to a choice between 3 providers. They are: Appriver, Hostway and IT Solutions
Any feedback on these service providers is appreciated.
Thanks in advance
Local Group policy on Win2k3 Terminal Server has "run only allowed windows applications" enabled. With this enabled the user logon script as assigned in their AD profile will not run. The company has over 100 Terminal Servers and dozens of logon scripts and adding all of the scripts to the...
The setup:
Internet access via cable modem. 5 users w/ internal email using <domain.local> . The business has one email address hosted by the local cable company - businessname@cableco.net.
Using the POP3 connector we have the business email routed to the Exchange mailbox of a user called...
Both Microsoft and conventional wisdom (much aquired here) dictate that Exchange should be installed with logs and databases on separate drive sets.
I see no such mention when researching hardware recommendations for Small Business Server.
I'm thinking about using SBS for 15 user location if I...
To rephrase the questions - In previous versions of TS (NT4 for example), whatever paper trays were available to the user on their PC's local print driver were available on the TS auto-created driver. Additionally, I could set default permissions for TS autocreated printers and give a group...
Users have 3-tray network HP printers. Clients have manage printer permissions locally. Terminal server autocreates printer but only shows 2 trays.
I would like to have them auto create with all trays. Also, I would like to give the users manage printer permissions to their auto-created...
The present server has 2003 standard on it already. Please explain. are you saying I should uninstall standard and reinstall SBS? How will that affect when the company is at 25 users next year. What about the hardware upgrade?
About six months ago installed a new 2003 server as DC, DNS, file storage and to run a couple of very small apps for a new company of 12 users. Used an HP ML350. Plans in the next couple of years are to grow to 25 users.
Now the company wants to bring thier email in-house to use out-of-office...
Old habits die hard. I've always used home directories. New 2003 server install, migrating old data. Considering using Folder Redirection to redirect client My Documents folders to home folders but I have read that Microsoft recommends letting the folders be auto-created from a designated...
Back in the day with an NT4 Terminal server I could create a logon script that would run for all users on the terminal server and only on the TS by putting it into the system32 directory and setting it in the registry. That capability appears to no longer exist. That registry key doesn't even...
The domains are with different companies in different locations. An IT divorce so to speak. I can't take their server or create a trust. Another question is, can I do a copy with exmerge so I can test once before the final move?
We are moving one division of users’ mailboxes and public folders from am Exch2k server in location A/ AD domain A to an Exch2003 server in location B/Ad domain B. What is the best way to copy/export the data to an external HD and import to the new server. One idea is to Exmerge to PST files and...
Router in home office w/ three interfaces. S0 is point-to-point t1 to stub network. I will set a static route between these two.
“Ip route <stub network> <int S0 ip address>”
Home office local LAN on E1. E0 goes direct to PIX and out to internet.
If I set up a gateway of last resort “ip route...
Server 2003 - If I use terminal services in remote administration mode only do I a)need a TS CAL for this and b)Do I have to install all software in install mode. I'm quite familiar with the procedures when using TS for user remote access.
