    vi too slow under NFS

    netstat -i didn't show any thing wrong, but this problem happens when we use lockd enable on the NFS server. We try the same on the other box tru64 same config, and it works Please help Thanks

    I used the CMD : mount -t nfs <server_nfs_hostname>:/toto /toto cd /toto vi toto1 I have to wait 15s before I get the vi prompt What's wrong ??? Thanks

    Hi, Thanks lot, When T tried to compile the source code samba with smbmount, I got these message smbmount is only supported on lunix. I didn't found a good tool to do the same as smbmount on linux, the sharity tool can do it but its not secure.

    Hi, When We try to open a file with vi , it takes about 30s to get in, this happens on nfs mounted filesytem The server and the client nfs are tru64 v5 running Is there some thing wrong on nfs ? Any help, thanks
