I have an Access 97 database with hyperlinks in one of the fields, for example:
<a href="http://mywebsite">MyWebSite</a>
If I save my table "As HTML" access converts the tags to HTML code therefore they are no longer hyperlinks in the resulting html file. For example the above hyperlink is...

I thought I ruled out Sygate by shutting it down but I guess it could still somehow be the problem.
I'm sure there's a way to 'allow' the pop settings in sygate.
I'll look into this and post back ...
My customer is using Mozilla Thunderbird as his email client and cannot retrieve emails when the AVG 7 Email Scanner is enabled.
When I tried to telnet to the mail server I received the error:
"-ERR AVG POP3 Proxy Server: Cannot connect to the mail server!"
The customer also had Sygate...
Thanks for the advice.
I don't think you can plug an ide cable in upside down as the pins won't fit, you wouldn't be able to get it in without do some serious damage to the socket.
I returned the drive to the customer and warned him about it.
Do hard drives tools check the physical stability of the disk as well as the data on it?
It appears when the data on the disk was corrupted, the tool said the drive was failing. But when it was reset and reformatted the tool said...
One thing I regret not doing is running a chkdsk /f on it prior to formatting. Whether it would have helped or not I'm not sure.
Yes I was going to tell the customer to only use the drive for temporary or unimportant file storage.
This one has baffled me because my customer tells me the drive...
Thanks garebo.
I ran a Maxtor utility on it and it reported the drive was "failing".
So I formatted the drive using the Maxtor tool and now it is as good as new and the utility does not report any errors with it. So hopefully the drive is physically OK.
Sorry didn't know how to attach an image so pointed to it in my hotmail inbox which didn't work.
Anyway I have given up and formatted the drive. I ran a Maxtor utility on it and it said it was failing, so recovery was probably not possible.
I did this before I could run chkdsk.

Hi,
I know this is a hopeless question but is it possible to recover data (files) from a deleted partition?
The reason I ask is today the IBM hard disk on my generic brand PIII packed it in. I tried to repair it using an IBM hard disk sector repair utility but this didn't work. Then I tried to...
