the camera did come with it's own software, however there is no problem seeing the AVI's on my PC, the only problem I have is importing those AVI's to premiere. Is there a way to guide premier to use other codecs? your response is appreciated. Ori P.S. my first problem (same thread) hasn't been...- orid

the settings are the same, I checked that. unfortunately the phenomena is stil there. another question poped up in the mean time: the premier does not recognize the AVI files from my digital cameras (canon s30, s400), what can be done about it. thanks in advance for all the helpers- orid

Hello All I have captured a clip and draged it to the time line, the preview was choppy so I chaged the project_setting->general->preview, so that the preview will not be transmited through the fire wire but only to the monitor, so now THERE IS NO PREVIEW AT ALL.
