Well, I tried the .inx solution, but to no avail. In fact, when I tried to open the file it crashed InDesign on the first two efforts. It took a long time to try to open it, and then it was trying to recover, saying it couldn't. Do you think I might need to re-install ID?

Thanks, I'll try that tomorrow. Today was my publishing day so I didn't have time for any experimenting. This is the only printer I have, and it's a problem that grew over time. Again, I really appreciate all your suggestions. It's nice to have a focus instead of grasping at straws.

I have adobefntxx.lst numbered 01 through 09, and 12. There is no 10, 11 or 13. I have 01 through 08 in other locations, as well, but no 10 or 11.
