Hi all, three quick questions & a small bit of background.
(1) is there a limit on the number of entries in the ARP table?
(2) where do i find it?
(3) can I change/increase it?
as a little background :
5520 local only routing between two VLANS.
Vlan A has a device emulating 5000 plus...
there should be an option in your internet explorer (under tools/internet options/advanced I think), something like - 'display a notification about every script error' if you uncheck this then the msg should stop appearing

I have a simple routed IP network made up of several lans.
My win98 machines will not ping outside of their own subnet when using a machine name but will ping if I use the IP address.
The win98 machines will ping inside the subnet using host names.
Other machines e.g XP W2k will ping outside...
Please help.
I have a DELL Dimension PC with a 'mdp3900v-w' modem. (PCI)
Not sure who manufacturer is but it has a 'conexant' driver.
When the modem is plugged into the wall socket it renders any other phones in the house without dialtone (even when the modem is not in use)

i have a bps2000 with two vlans configured on it, and two corresponding uplinks to the two vlans configured on the accelar
IP forwarding is turned on
all I want is simple routing...
