Wolluf,
Apologies I have been on holiday the last couple of weeks. Changing the drive letter solved the issue. Many thanks for your assistance

Wolluf,
Thanks for your reply
You are exactly right. Games will autorun fine. A disk of music can be played by selecting 'play using windows media player' from autorun and it will even display the files in the 'now playing' area. I just can't explore the disk and hence can't move files to my...
My DVD player will happily read DVDs and CDs. However I can't see what is on a disc. If i go through my computer nothing happens. If i go through explore it shows a plus next to the disc but clicking on it nothing happens.

I am replicating from SQL 2000 to SQL 2005 using a transactional replication with a pull subscription set to pull every hour.
This will work fine but occasionally one hour it will return the error:
Unable to start execution of step 1 (reason: JobOwner DOMAIN1\Administrator doesn't have...
Thanks for the replies guys.
I agree it seems an oversight on Adobe's part not to include this functionality as it's a fairly common situation that I'm sure a number of users face.
I followed the 2 InDesign file option. One in potrait and the other in landscape. I then simply copied the...
I simply want to have a 5 (single page not facing) document with pages 4 & 5 set up in landscape. Is this possible? Or at least to just rotate the view of the page by 90' so i could work on it without having to turn my head sideways!
Many thanks for any help

Thanks Skip,
The reason for the duplication of data is:
Workbook1 is open most of the working day and is constantly been updated. Its massive and slow. Other people need only specific pieces of information from it to combine with their own work. Therefore the query option seems to work...
Thanks Skip.
Perhaps paste a link is not accurate.
I have a range in WORKBOOK1. I have named the range CENTRES. The list is growing.
All i need to do is paste a copy of that range in WORKBOOK2. I want the copy in WORKBOOK2 to grow and match WORKBOOK1 as the CENTRES range grows.
Thanks
John
I have a dynamic named range CENTRES defined using the OFFSET function in workbook1
in workbook2 i want to paste a link to that range. However, obviously the CENTRES range is growing.
The simple solution is to paste a link to the cells containing the range and all those it will contain during...
Slightly more complicated but I believe leads on from the above questions.

Thankyou for giving this your attention.
The issue with the DCOUNT for me would be that I am copying this formula for approximately 200 centres. I.e $A4 will run down to $A204. I can't see how that would work with the DCOUNT method.
Also I am wondering if people have any tips for improving...
Thats the beauty of this site. You can sit in your office pulling out your hair, questionning the marital status of your computer's mother.
Then someone replies with something so simple and obvious that it's almost comical. Thank God for Tek-tips.

Apologies Skip, It really isn't that clear.
The Formula i am using is
=SUMPRODUCT((CENTRE=$A4)*(RDATE>C$1)*(RDATE<C$2)*75)
Where:
CENTRE is number
RDATE is DATE
WITHDRAWN is DATE (to be added into what I want to do)
$A4 is the centre number
C$1 and C$2 define the date range which I want to...
I am trying to utilise the sumproduct function and can't seem to get the correct syntax for the date.
I am using:
=SUMPRODUCT((CENTRE=$A4)*(RDATE>C$1)*(RATE<C$2)*75)
I want to add another criteria that looks at the range WITHDRAWN (date). I want it to check that 1 it is null or if not null...
Thanks guys,
However, using this method means every month when a new row is added I need to manually update the text string to the next month. Is there any way I can have a function that I can copy down and will adjust itself accordingly?
Thanks
John
I have a report sheet that looks at data from another sheet.
The function is am using is
=SUMPRODUCT((DATER<$A26)*(DATATRIALS="Leeds"))
Where:
DATER is a date on another sheet
Column A lists months.
DATETRIALS is text
This works fine but isn't that tidy. I want to replace the cell refernce...
This may be something stupid but anyway...
I have a table that is growing every month.
I want to produce a chart that automatically grows as the table grows.
I have used the OFFSET function to define a dynamic range. When I enter the name into the chart 'DATA RANGE' all is well. However on...
I am trying to use the sumproduct function to count based on multiple criteria.
centre_code, dateR, trials_unit.
Basically I want to count the number of records where trials unit = X and DateR falls between 2 dates. Sumproduct... Easy. The problem is that there are multiple records with the...

I have 4 querys selecting specific data from 4 tables. I merge them with a union query. All good.
I try to use that data as a source in a mail merge in Word. It can't see the union query! Perhaps word doesn't like union queries I think. So I run a query on the union...
