even the MATED won't show the 3D object with the map on it? (sphere, box, etc.)

Ok, try to make long story short....
I haven't used 3DS in quite awhile (a few years to give an idea), while i can recall most of the functions, I'm struggling with Materials and mapping?
Anyone know of a good tutorial that will help me out? Or willing to correspond with me, I'm trying to...
Yes, I'm logging in under a Domain Administrator account, as Domain Admins are in ALL local computer Administrator groups. Jason Wilder

I have setup 2K Server and we have 2K Pro workstations. I've setup a domain controll, DNS and DHCP, and WINS account. But when I logon to to a workstation as 'rover' domain admin account and try to add a domain user to the local administrator group, it says it can't find/locate the domain...

I have setup up everything correctly, as far as I can determine. But when I need to assign a domain user to a local user group (Power Users) so that a program can be run under their logon, it say the domain controller cannot be located and errors out.
Any ideas?

Ok,
I began the usual W2K Server setup, got through the first stages just fine. When I got into the system, I close the 'Configure Server' window and ran DCPROMO.EXE. Well, I indicated MYDOMAIN.COM, MYDOMAIN (NetBios), etc. and when it went to create the DNS, it kept erroring saying something...
The parallel install may not have been necessary. I'll see if I can find it again and post it, but I found good documentation on removing the virus from the system, mostly manual, but by editing the registry and removing files. I was fine. I also found a patch that helps prevent it from...
Anyone know what this is? I have a workstation that keeps having problems and this keeps coming up as an application that is hung up. It mostly affects the functionality of the printers, but often the OS itself and all programs freeze. Jason Wilder

I would use xcopy also. I use it to make a 'backup' to an additional internal harddrive every night as my company won't give me the budget for a tape backup system.
This saves on copy time using the /d option so that it only copies has changed since the previous 'backup'. Jason Wilder

You make them hidden when you create them, with script if you like. Otherwise, yes, they can exist and be referenced as %username%$ in a logon script. Jason Wilder

Nope. Didn't change anything. Just picked up, moved everything, plugged it all in as before and had users login.
Thing is, since I've made this post, they've dropped profiles again!?!?
Anyone have any ideas!?!?!?

Ok. My office moved and when I tranferred the servers and workstations to the new building, users profiles started 'dissappearing'? User that have had good user profiles forever were suddenly being treated as new users and if they logged out before I could backup their profile on the server...
Unfortunatley I'm beyond that point. The new server is safely and securely setup without glitches and I'd like to not go through the process again. :)
I'm sure you can understand that. Next option? :) Jason Wilder

I have 4 HP Printers (various models) that are setup on my current PDC. When I've created and assigned a new user I have given them a printer by browsing Network Neighborhood, selecting my PDC, then do a 'Right Click / Install' on the printer I want them to have. Therefore they are pointing to...

I've seen this topic a few times come across this forum. I even intiated it once. I have been able to unsuccessfully create an administrative install from one of the Office 2000 CD's, well, I hope I have found what my difficulty has been...
To save yourself a lot of time, simply add your user account or general admin account to the site under Exchange Administrator.
I've assigned my user name there so that I can view any and all mailboxes as necessary.
Ah, the power of being a network admin! :-) Jason Wilder

Yes. The logon.bat was present in all the usual locations where it's been and users have seen it. I don't know why they suddenly weren't seing it. Jason Wilder
