From what I understand the new CM 4.0 will allow you to use the same number for FAC and extensions without any other special parameters.

I found it. It was "cha pub 5 ext XXXXX." In order to change a particular record you have to add the "ext XXXXX" in the command. It was in the documentation, you just had to dig for it. :) Thanks to all for your help.

When I do that it tells me to use "change public-unknown-numbering" instead. When I do that, my entry is not there.
