The extra symbol is located in the (name) part of the misc properties for the control. You type in the name for the control and if you look above it in the name, an extra symbol appears. example: ID (IDC_STATICTEXT) the name would say (IDC_STATICTEXT1) and i didnt put a 1 in the ID box...- Manderin
