I have many pdf files which are to be stored in the database or the OS filesystem, but need to be accessed quickly by front end application. Is it possible to store pdf data in SQL Server or will the OS filesystem be a better option and how can I give fast access to this pdf data.
Thanks

Thanks for your response...
yes the data is embedded in the email.
I was actually looking for a way to make a connection to MS outlook from SQL Server, both of these, outlook and sql server are on different machines.
or do you recommend somehow parsing out the data in the email to a text file...
I have a scenario where a single coulmn of data is coming to me in an email on MS OutLook. How can I import this data into a table directly from the email, can this be automated too.
Thanks
If a msdb database becomes suspect, how can it be recovered if there is no prior backup of msdb available.
Already tried stopping and starting SQL Server Service, but didn't work.
Thanks
Yes, it seems like I have to do that. I was hoping there may be another way, but I think this may be the best way so far to work around the 255 column limit.
As far as the altering table design is concerned, that may not be feasible at this stage, since this is a telecom production database...
I am using Win2000 Advanced Server, SQL Server Enterprise.
I have a table that has over 700 columns, but I am able to replicate no more than 255 columns.
How can I replicate the complete table?
Thanks

I used both, the regular SQL Server Backup from the Enterprise Manager and then the SQL Backup command. Both are not working crashing with the same error mid way....
I even tried it with SQL Agent off, but no success.
I don't think a virus scan may be the issue, because other db's on the same server backup just fine. It's just this one database which is giving me problems...any remedies?
I have been getting problems when I try to backup my SQL Server database. Backup goes halfway and then stops with this error. Does anyone have any idea on how to tackle/resolve this, or where to start looking for clues.
