I do not think there is a way to prevent the Unix server from doing this, due to the fact that it has to append its hostname to the event it is forwarding. Not sure what/why you are forwarding them to other servers but there are 2 things you could do depending on what outcome you are looking... -
Trying to access HP9000 via the console port.
I am trying to connect to a HP Class A 9000 via the console port using a PC and Hyperterm. I have tryied to us all kinds of different settings and different cables. Does anyone have the clear and simple setup for this? I just need to know how to set Hyperterm up and what cable it seems like it...
