3com officeconnect not connecting to provider
No, this goes beyond the username/password. I contacted my ISP and they said that this is a known problem with this particular 3com that they could not figure out either. Seems to be a equipment compatibility issue. They just advise people to get different equipment. Big help eh?- callerID

I recently purchased a slightly used 3com officeconnect isdn lan modem. It works fine on the pots lines and tests the isdn line just fine, but it will not connect to my internet provider. It dials, communicates and then I get a "clearing from far end error". In other words my...- callerID

Yes the pipeline 85 does all the dialing and connecting on demand. You won't need dial-up networking. All the communication between the router and the pipline is done through the LAN. If you are using a two channel set up (128k) then the pipeline will automatically bring the second channel up...- callerID
