    Improper Hot Swap causes Non-Detectable External Hard Drive

    Removed a EXTERNAL FIREWIRE HARD DRIVE improperly. Now upon connecting the drive, the system appears to be accessing the unit however the drive does not appear anywhere. Limited usage of the system during this "access". Concerned about possible corruption. I do not know how to proceed.
