SQL 2000 setup failure
Thanks for trying to help. It seems strange that we would need to install SP3a for an app that has not been installed. (I do not have any previous version of SQL server installed.) Nevertheless, I did try to install using setup.bat but got only a screen flash and nothing more. The bat file...- DonStone

SQL 2000 setup failure
I am trying to install the SQL 2000 Server and then I will install SP3a. I do even get as far as seeing the welcome screen. The installer shield shows for only 2-3 seconds and quits without a message. Thanks, Don- DonStone

I am attempting to install SQL 2000 Developer's Edition on a server running Windows 2003 server. I stopped the IIS as prescribed.
