    If your bare metal restore is on the exact same hardware then all you need is the mksysb tape. When restoring to different hardware, boot to a AIX CD at the same level as the mksysb and then recover the mksysb from tape

    You can create a mksysb image on disk and use NIM to install the image. Example: mksysb -i /mksysb.image
